Cookies are always in season! A few recipes you might want to try:
Strawberry and white chocolate cake mix cookies
My sister brought these cookies from Japan and I fell in love with it. Ever since, I’ve tried to find strawberry cake mix but had no luck. Recently, I found a box of strawberry cake mix at Safeway. I have yet to try these, but am super excited!
Cinnamon chocolate chip cookies
If you love the classic chocolate chip recipes, add a cinnamon twist to them and your tummy will love it.
Pop-tarts are delicious… enough said.
If you ever make cupcakes, remember the right way to eat it (cut the bottom and place it on top, eating it like a sandwich).
lemon limoncello cupcakes
Nothing says summer like lemons! Or anything citrus-y, really! These cupcakes are adorable and look delicious! Let me know how they taste if you try making them.
Mike and I looooooooove coconut. For a tasty twist, toast the shredded coconut by cooking in a large skillet over medium heat. To sweeten unsweetened flakes, add 1 tablespoon of confectioner’s sugar to every 1 pound of unsweetened coconut flakes in a plastic bag, and then shake before toasting!
Who doesn’t love the taste of orange creamsicles? Try this recipe and the flavors will remind you of how awesome kid treats are!
Moxies white chocolate brownie
When I first tried these at Moxies, I thought they were the best brownies I’ve ever had. For those who have a huge sweet tooth, try this copycat recipe out for yourselves!
I fell in love with these when my sister made them. Although it’s a simple recipe, you’ll always come out with a unique batch.
red velvet brownies
Red velvet and cheesecake are a killer combo! Other ways to make these are similar to the cheesecake brownie recipe – swirl the brownie and ice cream cheese layers together, serve and enjoy!
Cakes and Pies
There’s nothing like sitting on your porch and eating a slice (or two) of cake or pie. And if you have a lot of cream cheese, cheesecakes are a great way to get rid of them!
No-bake strawberry cheesecake
It was really hard to find this recipe, but it is worth the time and effort to make it. You’ve got a bit of chocolate in the crust, and lots of strawberry goodness on top.
The awesome thing about all recipes is the helpful reviews – users suggest alterations to the recipe to suit different taste buds. I haven’t tried making carrot cake yet, but it’s a great way to stay semi-healthy while indulging in something sweet.
chocolate peanut butter pie
Fair warning that this is a very rich pie. A great recipe Mike showed me, a fellow peanut-butter lover (PB lovers unite?).
It wouldn’t be a summer dessert list without cold treats. Some of these are time consuming to make, but a lot of these are super easy and just takes a blender to mix things up.
PISTACHIO ICE CREAM
There are so many ice cream recipes to share, but pistachio provides a rich and delicious flavor.
fresh fruit and yogurt ice pops
Got lots of fresh fruit and yogurt? Don’t want to work too hard to use it up? Add a bit of lemon juice and get ready to enjoy your dessert…(semi-)healthily.
chocolate cookie ice cream sandwiches
This recipe is mainly for the chocolate cookie; just scoop out your favorite ice cream and enjoy your sandwich!
Super easy and delicious recipes to try out.
fresh mango pudding
One of my favorite desserts growing up was mango pudding. It’s sweet, addictive, and fun to make!
dark chocolate and avocado pudding
This recipe reminds me of my Canadian heritage – maple syrup. It’s a great way to add flavor to the pudding.
english sticky toffee pudding
These things are so delicious. Try it, try it now.
If you’re smart like me and bought a whole box of microwavable popcorn from Costco, but don’t know what to do with all of it…try flavoring it in different ways!
Add some twist to your campfire adventures, and try these unique flavor combinations for a great s’mores experience!
fresh southern peach cobbler
Nothing like summer without peaches. Serve with vanilla ice cream and let the cobbler melt in your mouth.
